Very little is known about DUPD1 (Entrez). It possibly emerged through gene duplication of DUSP13, which is 50kb upstream of DUSP13 on chromosome 10q22 [1]. Notice do not confuse this gene with DUSP27, although it has an alias of DUSP27.
