This subfamily consists of three annotated members in C. elegans. F20B6.6 and F20B6.1 are neighboring genes transcribed in opposite directions, but both appear to be non-overlapping fragments of the other member, Y71F9AL.4, with >90% sequence identity. This subfamily consists of three annotated members in C. elegans. F20B6.6 and F20B6.1 are neighboring genes transcribed in opposite directions, but both appear to be non-overlapping fragments of the other member, Y71F9AL.4, with >90% sequence identity. It is possible that these are young pseudogenes created by duplication and inversion of the original gene.
