The PTP domain has been described to consist of ~􏰔280 amino acids [1]. However, the region of the first two helices at the N terminus are not as conserved as other regions and the C-terminus in invertebrates. We use vertebrate PTP phosphatase domain profile to define the boundaries. However, it is not a perfect HMM profile to define the N-terminal boundary.
