Version 1.1

The EF-containing region probably belong to another gene, orthologous to human MICU1, mitochondrial calcium uptake 1. We therefore split the sequence V 1.0 into two genes, the first one of which is the phosphatase, Monosiga PPM1K.

Technical note:

We BLASTed the version 1.0 sequence against NR and by sequence comparison, estimated the phosphatase gene probably ended around position 516 of version 1.0 sequence. Meanwhile, we used GENEWISE to find the intron-exon structure. The genomic sequence was obtained by TBLASTNing version 1.0 sequence against masked scaffold sequence via JGI server, fetching the sequence by clicking the hit and downloading from genome browser. We finally split the gene model at the intron 4, position 512.

Version 1.0

The sequence is built based upon the JGI gene model estExt_fgenesh2_pg.C_120014. The sequence is different, though. The sequence has both PPP and EF domains.
