Description
We built HMM for IQ domain, because the one in Pfam database is not able to detect IQ domain in PP7, catalytic subunits.
How the HMM was built
We downloaded the family alignment from SMART database (SM00015), converted to STOCKHOLM format, built the HMM model using HMMBUILD program, and then searched the HMM against protein phosphatase sequences to validate its sensitivity and specificity.
