Phosphatase Classification: Fold CC1: Superfamily CC1: Family PTP: Subfamily MbrePTP-sf1
MbrePTP-sf1 is a receptor tyrosine phosphatase subfamily first seen in choanoflagellates.
Evolution
MbrePTP-sf1 is found in choanoflagellates, including Monosiga brevicollis, Monosiga ovata, and Salpingoeca rosetta. This subfamily may be related to the chordate PTPRK subfamily and several other unclassified phosphatases in invertebrates, though it only has a single PTP domain
Domain
Most members are fragments that suggest a single PTP domain, and varied other domains, including PDZ, Ankyrin, and Guanylate kinase domains
Functions
MbrePTP-sf1 is known only from sequence databases and has no known function.
