Phosphatase Classification: Fold CC1: Superfamily CC1: Family PTP: Subfamily SpurPTP-sf4

SpurPTP-sf4 is a receptor tyrosine phosphatase subfamily first seen in the sea urchin Strongylocentrotus purpuratus.

Evolution

SpurPTP-sf4 has 3 members, all found in the sea urchin, S. purpuratus.

Domain Structure

All members are receptor PTPs, with an array of extracellular FN3 repeats, and intracellular twin PTP phosphatase domains, that are similar in sequence to both PTPRK and PTPRD subfamilies.

Functions

SpurPTP-sf4 is known only from sequence databases and has no known function.
