Phosphatase Classification: Fold CC1: Superfamily CC1: Family PTP: Subfamily Ptp36E (CG7180)

Evolution

Domains

Ptp36E has two tandem PTPs. All the other PTPs that have tandem PTP domains are receptor PTPs, but interestingly, we can not detect any transmembrane region from either Drosophila melanogaster or C. elegans sequence using the programs TMHMM and TOPCONS.

Functions

The function of the subfamily in either Drosophila melanogaster and C. elegans is unknown.
